Did you know that 63% of the City’s global warming gases come from transportation activities?

Over time, the City of San Jose wants to create big shifts in how people get around to reduce congestion and pollution from cars and trucks.

We want to make it easier for residents to walk, bike, ride buses and trains, and share rides with others. We are also looking at new creative solutions like shared electric scooters and driverless vehicles.

The City has started an effort called the Access and Mobility Plan (AMP) to support a shift in how people get around. Working with the community, we will create an approach to make a better future possible. The AMP will:

  • Form the City’s long-term transportation goals
  • Define clear ways to measure how we are doing
  • Find the best transportation programs and projects to meet our goals
  • Please take our survey to let us know your priorities.
