Fruitdale Avenue

The City of San José Department of Transportation will be repaving Fruitdale Avenue between Southwest Expressway and Bascom Avenue. In addition to new pavement, the project will install the following improvements: buffered bike lanes, sidewalk ramps, and marked crosswalks.

The Fruitdale Avenue project requires additional striping east of Southwest Expressway. The additional striping is necessary to make sure you are able to safely drive westbound on Fruitdale Ave. You should see temporary striping on the ground on April 6th, 2021.
