Pearl Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Safety Project

The San Jose Department of Transportation proposes to improve the walking and biking environment on Pearl Avenue by implementing striping changes between Chynoweth Avenue and Hillsdale Avenue. These changes include new asphalt, buffered and protected bikeways, and new crosswalk paint. The changes would be implemented through the annual pavement maintenance program in fall 2021. Other improvements may be added based on the outcomes of DOT’s community outreach process.
