McLaughlin Avenue Safety Enhancement Project Information

The McLaughlin Avenue Safety Enhancement Project is a construction project along McLaughlin Avenue between Owsley Avenue and Loupe Avenue.

The project will improve pedestrian safety and slow down traffic speeds along McLaughlin Avenue. The project will install:

  • Median islands with trees
  • ADA compliant curb ramps
  • Bulb-outs
  • Streetlights
  • Signage
  • Rectangular rapid flashing beacons at two intersections (Idlewood Drive and Umbarger Drive)

Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2020 with completion expected in November 2020. The following photos of enhancements are used as samples for the items listed and are not exact representations of the final construction.
